True Tracks®: Pathway to Indigenous engagement

Returning in 2026 by popular demand, True Tracks®: Pathway to Indigenous engagement is an in-person workshop delivered as part of HTQ's training and education program.

Designed for research, policy and project leaders across HTQ partner organisations, the workshops build practical capability to engage ethically, respectfully and effectively with First Nations peoples, communities, knowledge and data.

About the workshop

This interactive workshop provides a foundational understanding of:

  • Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP)
  • Indigenous Data Sovereignty and Governance
  • cultural considerations that underpin ethical research, projects and partnerships with and for First Nations peoples and communities.

The workshop is anchored in the Ten True Tracks Principles®, a nationally recognised Indigenous engagement framework developed by Terri Janke and Company.
