Mental Health Collaborative Group

Mental Health Collaborative Group

Our newest collaborative group is the cross-institutional and multi-disciplinary Mental Health Collaborative Group. This group was established by HTQ in 2023 after HTQ’s Health Research Needs Assessment identified mental health as a priority area.

The inaugural meeting was held in September 2023, with representation from across our partnership and beyond. Their goal is to provide better outcomes for Queenslanders experiencing mental health challenges.

Current activity

The group’s first collaborative project is the HTQ-led Queensland Mental Health Collaborative Hub, an online platform for health professionals and researchers.

While there is an abundance of consumer and primary care focused platforms in mental health, this hub will serve as a centralised resource for mental health training, education and research for the mental health workforce in Queensland.

The group has also provided feedback and input into the feasibility and value of an HTQ-led mental health funding analysis for Queensland.
