Julia Strickland-Bellamy
Julia Strickland-Bellamy was appointed Mater Group Chief Executive in April 2025, bringing more than 25 years of experience in non-executive and executive positions across Australia’s hospital, health and aged care sectors.
As the former Australian Chief Executive Officer and Director of Aurora Healthcare, Ms Strickland-Bellamy successfully led business performance for a network of 16 hospitals.
Ms Strickland-Bellamy has a track record of driving business growth through the delivery of service and hospital expansions at both greenfield and brownfield sites, merger and acquisition strategies and system improvement initiatives.
She has extensive experience working in senior positions across private equity and not-for-profit organisations, leading financial performance and organisational structure strategies to improve efficiencies.
Having started her career as a nurse, Ms Strickland-Bellamy also has a strong focus on enhancing patient care quality, expanding services, and integrating technology to meet the ever-evolving healthcare needs of the community.
