Julia joined Health Translation Queensland in January 2026 and contributes to the delivery of strategic projects across multiple organisational priority areas. She supports the Consumer and Community Involvement (CCI) Microgrants Program, Collaborative Group activities, and HTQ’s Training and Education Program, including mentorship and capability building initiatives, as well as workshops, webinars and conferences.
Julia is passionate about collaboration and inclusive partnerships, fostering connections and empowering people to drive positive change. A scientist by training, she brings a diverse range of skills and experiences across research, project coordination and administration, event management and communications, student experience and teaching innovation programs, community engagement and environmental education.
Over the past 3 years, Julia has coordinated administrative and communications activities for a Centre of Research Excellence at UQ’s School of Public Health, where she developed a strong interest in translating research evidence into policy and practice to improve health outcomes. Outside of work, Julia loves to explore different movement practices that support health and wellbeing, including Nia dance, yoga and cycling.
