  • Full-time (100%), fixed-term position through to March 2027
  • HEW level 8 - the full-time base salary will be in the range of $117,958 - $132,247, + 17% super

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project planning, coordination and delivery across multiple strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment to priorities, timelines and outcomes
  • Provide robust project governance, reporting and documentation, including briefs, dashboards, SOPs and Board updates to support informed decision-making
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies and scope changes, while monitoring performance against time, cost and quality targets
  • Oversee program operations and logistics, including stakeholder engagement, panel coordination, events delivery and budget management
  • Supervision: Provide day-to-day supervision, support and delegation for assigned staff, including monitoring progress and contributing to development and performance processes.

About you

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with postgraduate qualifications (or be in progress towards postgraduate qualifications) in Business, Project Management or a related field or an equivalent combination of qualifications and workplace experience. In addition, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing medium to large projects, ideally within a large and/or complex organisational context
  • High-level interpersonal skills, including the effective liaison and negotiation skills needed to develop and maintain strong working relationships with HTQ's 13 partners, including The University of Queensland
  • Demonstrated high level organisational ability, attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Previous project management experience within a tertiary and/or research institution would be highly valuedExperience in the health care or research environment including the interpretation and application of legislation, policy and practice directives in an operational environment is preferable or alternatively a similar work experience that demonstrates your previous exposure to governed systems and an ability to rapidly acquire necessary knowledge.
