Engagement workshop national CCI statement - 24 April

Health Translation Queensland (HTQ), in collaboration with the Australian Health Research Alliance (AHRA) and supported by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), would like to offer you a unique opportunity to have your say on the involvement of consumers in health and medical research.

The community are the funders and beneficiaries of both research and health care in Australia and deserve to be front and centre in driving a health system fully informed by research that meets their needs.

AHRA's NHMRC-accredited Research Translation Centres, including Health Translation Queensland, are conducting a series of workshops across Australia until mid-May 2024 to seek feedback on the proposed amendments to the national statement on consumer and community involvement (CCI) in health and medical research.

As part of this series, HTQ is hosting an online workshop on 24 April 2024 which is open to anyone interested in providing feedback.

  2. What overarching values are essential to include in the value statement of the revised consumer statement?

  4. What roles and responsibilities should be included in the revised consumer statement for consumers and communities; researchers; research institutions; and funders?

How to prepare?

While there are no mandatory requirements to prepare for your participation in the online workshop, it is recommended that you read the Consumer Statement Review Position Paper prior to participating.
