West Moreton Health

West Moreton Health provides preventative and primary health care services, ambulatory services, acute care, sub-acute care, and oral health, mental health and other specialised services to around 325,000 people across the Somerset, Scenic Rim, Lockyer Valley and Ipswich communities. The population is projected to increase to 480,000 by 2036. The projected 2.9% compound annual growth rate is the highest of all health regions in Queensland and nearly double the Queensland population growth rate of 1.5%.

Diversity is a feature of the hospital and health service resident population. In the 2021 census, 19.6% of the population were born outside Australia, 12.1% speak a language other than English at home and 5.2% are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Australians.
