Translational Research Institute

Brisbane’s Translational Research Institute (TRI) is a leading Australian innovative medical research, development and translation facility. The multi-partner facility is co-located with a biopharmaceutical manufacturer on the grounds of a major teaching hospital.

This unique combination makes it faster and easier to clinically test research discoveries and translate these into better patient care. TRI combines the research intellect and capability of QUT’s Institute of Health and Biomedical innovation, the Queensland Government, UQ’s Diamantina Institute, School of Medicine, and Mater Research. More than 800 researchers and clinicians from these partner institutes are working together to take scientific innovations through to new screening methods, diagnostic tools and treatments for patients worldwide. TRI is at the interface of science, medicine and industry.
