Microgrants program

Microgrants program

We are committed to supporting best practice consumer and community involvement across the Health Translation Queensland partnership and the wider health and health research community.

We understand that not having enough funding to pay consumers for their time can be a barrier to consumer and community involvement in research and project planning and design, particularly in the very important early stages of research project ideation and planning.

That’s why we introduced the Health Translation Queensland Consumer and Community Involvement (CCI) microgrants program, to support research projects to fund consumer involvement in project design and research priority setting.

Funding available

The CCI microgrants program usually provides funding in the order of $1,000.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply, individuals must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Affiliated with a Health Translation Queensland partner organisation
  2. Belong to an underserved community or your project aims to support an underserved community

For your application to be successful you will need to meet the following assessment criteria. You will need to outline how your research project:

  • demonstrates collaboration – across organisations and disciplines
  • demonstrates value for money.
