On 9 September, the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) $2.5M Centre for Research Excellence (CRE) in Digestive Health was officially launched, with Queensland playing a critical role in driving clinical research in the CRE. The CRE in Digestive Health will advance the understanding, identification and treatment of chronic, unexplained gastrointestinal (GI) disorders, which are a costly burden for many Australians.
