Immunology into the Clinic Forum

Health Translation Queensland (formerly BDHP) partnered with the Translational Research Institute (TRI) to deliver the Immunology into the Clinic Forum at TRI on Thursday 3 June 2021.

The forum topic 'Ducts, Drugs and Bugs: Towards a Treatment for Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis,' brought together clinicians and scientists to stimulate research conversations and collaborations to solve difficult but tractable clinical problems.

The forum was led by Professor Ranjeny Thomas, theme leader for Health Translation Queensland's Immunity, Inflammation and Infection Theme, Professor of Rheumatology at University of Queensland Diamantina Institute, Translational Research Institute, and consultant Rheumatologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Speakers included:

  • Associate Professor Peter Lewindon, Queensland Children’s Hospital and The University of Queensland: Baby Steps Toward Understanding Paediatric PSC

  • Dr Kim Bridle, The University of Queensland: PSC Model
  • Dr Kate Lynch, Royal Adelaide Hospital: From the gut to the liver – T-cells in PSC-IBD
