Overview
Women’s health is a specialised area that reaches beyond sexual and reproductive health. The Women’s Health theme encompasses prevention through to cure and preconception through to the end of life. Researchers, clinicians, educators, administrators and health consumers come together to enhance knowledge generation and knowledge translation to improve health care delivery and health outcomes for women in Queensland.
The Women’s Health theme leaders are the Health Translation Queensland representatives on the national Women's Health Research, Translation and Impact Network (WHRTIN) and as such seek to ensure the work of the Women’s Health theme is aligned nationally. The WHRTIN seeks to boost national and international collaboration on women’s health and research, build health workforce capacity, develop leaders in women’s health, and advance research and translation to deliver impact and better health for Australian women in partnership with community.
