Samantha Townsend
Samantha has more than 20 years of experience in media and public relations.
She has consulted at several PR firms in Brisbane over the past 15 years, working with clients from a range of sectors from government and health to finance and retail. Highlights have included stakeholder engagement for the Toowoomba Hospital Redevelopment (Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service), community consultation for the Bundaberg Hospital Business Case (Building Queensland), communications and stakeholder engagement for the merger between QT Mutual Bank and RACQ (QT Mutual Bank) and a communications and engagement strategy for the Redcliffe Hospital Car Park (Metro North Hospital and Health Service) .
Prior to working in PR, Samantha was a journalist at several community newspapers.
At HTQ, Samantha’s role is to execute strategic communications and engagement activities to support and promote collaborative translational health research.
