Helen Weir
As Operations Director of Health Translation Queensland, Helen is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the strategic and operational direction of the organisation, balancing the complex interests (and operational practices) of HTQ's partner organisations and translating this intent into high performing operations and successful delivery outcomes.
With 20 years’ experience in higher education and research, Helen’s experience in directing corporate services and supporting high performance research teams allows her a solid foundation to support Health Translation Queensland’s partners. Helen’s previous roles include Director of Faculty Services, Faculty of Health at QUT; Deputy Director (Operations) at the Queensland Brain Institute; Human Resources Coordinator at Bank of Queensland and Employee Relations Office at University of Southern Queensland.
Helen holds a Bachelor of Business/Human Resource Management from Griffith University and a Master of Management, Business Law from the University of Southern Queensland.
