Immunology into the Clinic Forum - June 2021

Brisbane Diamantina Health Partners and the Translational Research Institute hosted an Immunology into the Clinic forum on June 3, 2021. The topic was Ducts, Drugs and Bugs: Towards a Treatment for Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis. The forum was led by Professor Ranjeny Thomas, theme leader for BDHP’s Immunity, Inflammation and Infection Theme, Professor of Rheumatology at University of Queensland Diamantina Institute, Translational Research Institute, and consultant Rheumatologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital. The chair of the event was Professor Gerald Holtmann, from Princess Alexandra Hospital and the University of Queensland. Speakers: • Associate Professor Peter Lewindon, from the Queensland Children’s Hospital and The University of Queensland: Baby Steps Towards Understanding Paediatric PSC • Professor Mark Morrison, from the University of Queensland: A micro look at PSC • Dr Kim Bridle from the University of Queensland: PSC: Metas and Models • Dr Kate Lynch from the Royal Adelaide Hospital: From the guts to the liver – T cells in PSC-IBD.
