Under the leadership of Dr David Hansen, CEO of the Australian eHealth Research Centre, our digital platform enabler aims to advocate for a learning healthcare system and to consider the architecture to support such a system. This provides a framework for greater harmonisation and connection of the digital health system across our partnership and Queensland.

Other responsibilities include:

  • to propose a learning health system structure, considering the whole system and not just its individual parts

  • to consider the issues around data access

  • encourage coordination for ongoing development of grant opportunities

  • actively advocating for a learning health system within the members’ own organisations.

Data sharing across the partnership

The Health Translation Queensland Research Passport agreement is a collaborative research agreement. Its clauses facilitate the transfer of participant study data across our partner organisations, in a lawful, safe and appropriate way.
